Buganda Kingdom Premier Mayiga Appeals to Youth for Unity and Talent Harnessing

Buganda Kingdom Premier, Charles Peter Mayiga, has strongly encouraged the youth to foster unity and collaborate, emphasizing that their combined strengths and individual talents are crucial for advancing both personal lives and the development of the kingdom.

During a meeting with various youth group representatives at Bulange, Mengo, Mayiga highlighted the significance of this productive period in a young person’s life. He urged them to invest wisely in acquiring new skills, adopting responsible conduct, and engaging in initiatives that can enhance their livelihoods and contribute positively to Buganda’s progress.

“Youth, work together and combine your efforts. Let each one of you do your best to discover your potential. Make good use of your talents, take care of yourselves, avoid drugs, use social media responsibly, raise your standards, and together let us take Buganda to greater heights,” Mayiga stated, offering a clear call to action.

The Premier also promoted the Buganda Youth Network, an initiative by the kingdom designed to bring together various youth associations. He explained that joining this network provides young people with access to invaluable guidance, mentorship, and development programs curated by the kingdom.

Assisting Mayiga, the Minister for Youth, Sports and Talent, Robert Serwanga, detailed the ministry’s plans to empower young individuals. He echoed the call for active participation in youth-focused programs organized by the Buganda Kingdom, stressing that such involvement is fundamental for nurturing talent and creating future opportunities.
