Rotaract Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf Enters New Era with Installation of 3rd President

The Rotaract Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf celebrated a significant leadership transition on July 10, 2026, with the installation of Bamutya Trevor Brill as its third president. The ceremony, held at Fairway Hotel, also saw the induction of 22 new members, highlighting the club’s impressive growth trajectory since its chartering in 2024.

This expansion and vibrant activity come as no surprise, as the club was recently recognized as Club of the Year at the 101st District Conference and Assembly (DCA) for District 9214. This award underscores their dedication to service, effective membership engagement, and innovative approaches.

Sanjay Rughani, CEO and Managing Director of Standard Chartered Bank, graced the event as the Chief Guest. He lauded the club’s accomplishments and urged the young Rotaractors to continue their commitment to community service, emphasizing Rotary as a valuable platform for leadership development and personal growth.

Under President Trevor Bamutya Brill, the club has outlined a robust service agenda. Two flagship projects will spearhead their efforts: the Ubuntu Project and the Musota Project. The Ubuntu Project will focus on the Wisdom Hub Inclusive Primary School in Mpigi District, aiming to enhance the learning environment for children with special needs through the provision of assistive equipment, learning materials, and improved infrastructure.

The Musota Project, named after the president’s family name, will target Nabitovu Primary School in Iganga District and Muira Health Centre. Interventions include improving sanitation, supplying scholastic materials to combat school dropout rates (particularly among girls), and providing essential medicines and supplies to the health facility.

To fund these impactful initiatives, the club aims to raise UGX 20 million through various fundraising efforts. The installation ceremony concluded with a shared vision for continued growth, impactful service, and inspiring leadership, reflecting the club’s dynamic spirit.
