Crysto Panda Declines Cindy Sanyu Collaboration Over Artiste Recognition

Media personality and musician Crysto Panda has officially shut the door on any immediate musical collaborations with fellow artist Cindy Sanyu.

Panda explained that his decision stems from Cindy’s previous public statements where she questioned his standing as a musician. He stated in a recent interview that for any collaboration to happen, Cindy, also known as the “King Herself,” must first recognize him as a genuine artiste.

“I will only work with Cindy if she recognizes me as an artist. I don’t want to force myself on her. She said I am not a musician, and I respect her opinion so much. However, if she accepts that I am a musician, I will work with her,” Panda elaborated.

He believes that pursuing a joint project under the current conditions would feel contrived and lack authenticity. Despite this artistic stalemate, Panda was keen to emphasize that there is no personal animosity between them.

In fact, Crysto Panda revealed that he continues to engage Cindy Sanyu for performances at events he organizes across Kampala. This indicates that while a musical partnership is off the table for now, a professional working relationship remains intact, with Panda respecting Cindy’s position in the industry.
