Kin Kariisa Rewards Kawempe Clinic with Smart TV After Viral NBS Viewing Moment

A simple act of noticing viewer dedication has resulted in a significant upgrade for AMA Clinic in Kawempe. The moment began when NBS videographer James Mutatina observed patients and staff gathered around an aging television, all tuned into NBS despite a poor picture quality.

Touched by their commitment, Mutatina shared the scene on X (formerly Twitter), tagging Next Media Group CEO Kin Kariisa and expressing his admiration for the clinic’s loyalty. He humorously suggested that the viewers deserved a smart TV.

Kariisa took immediate notice of the post and instructed his team to locate the clinic and arrange for a new television. Senior Manager for Corporate Affairs, Desire Mugumisa, was tasked with fulfilling the CEO’s directive.

Within days, a brand-new 43-inch smart television was delivered and installed at AMA Clinic, replacing the old set. Mugumisa stated that the gesture reflects Next Media’s appreciation for its loyal viewers, emphasizing their commitment to informing and transforming Uganda.

The proprietor of AMA Clinic expressed immense gratitude for the unexpected gift, highlighting the positive impact it would have on the clinic’s environment. Mutatina, who initiated the gesture, conveyed his satisfaction, stating that it underscores the importance of recognizing audience loyalty.

This act of generosity coincides with NBS Television’s 18th anniversary, reinforcing the company’s dedication to maintaining strong connections with audiences across Uganda.
