President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has extended a strong invitation to investors from the United Kingdom and Europe, encouraging them to explore the significant opportunities available across the African continent.

During a meeting at State House, Entebbe, with The Rt. Hon. Baroness Chapman, the UK’s Minister of State for International Development and Africa, President Museveni underscored Africa’s immense potential for economic expansion, trade development, and the creation of shared prosperity.

The Ugandan leader emphasized that fostering deeper investment partnerships is crucial for unlocking the continent’s capacity for value addition, driving industrialization, generating more employment opportunities, and expanding mutually beneficial trade flows between Africa and European nations.

President Museveni welcomed Baroness Chapman to Uganda, acknowledging and valuing the enduring cordial relationship between the two nations. The discussions also focused on strengthening the long-standing partnership between Uganda and the United Kingdom, with a specific focus on enhancing investment and economic cooperation.

The meeting was further attended by Hon. Haruna Kasolo Kyeyune, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs; Her Excellency Lisa Chesney, the British High Commissioner to Uganda; along with other government officials and notable guests.
