Mastercard has officially launched its “Priceless Africa” platform, extending its global lifestyle offering to the African continent. This new digital gateway provides Mastercard cardholders with access to a range of meticulously selected travel and lifestyle experiences across nine diverse destinations.
Uganda is prominently featured alongside other key African tourism hotspots such as Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Ghana, Morocco, Mauritius, and Zimbabwe. The platform aims to connect travellers with authentic encounters, offering opportunities for cultural immersion, wildlife encounters, culinary adventures, and thrilling activities.
Among the highlighted experiences are iconic adventures like gorilla trekking in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. Other offerings include hot air balloon safaris over Kenya’s Amboseli National Park, historical walking tours of Ghana’s Cape Coast Castle, traditional dhow sailing experiences in Zanzibar, and wildlife conservation initiatives in South Africa’s Kruger National Park.
The Priceless Africa platform is designed to facilitate seamless and secure digital payments for all bookings, ensuring a smooth experience for travellers. Additionally, cardholders can expect to benefit from various travel perks, such as discounts on accommodations and flights, airport lounge access, car rental services, and more.
This expansion coincides with Africa’s significant growth in the tourism sector, having welcomed 81 million international visitors in 2025, an 8% increase from the previous year, according to UN Tourism data. Mastercard believes modern travellers are increasingly seeking genuine, culturally rich experiences.
“With Priceless Africa, we are opening the door to authentic, unforgettable experiences while ensuring Mastercard’s secure and seamless payments support every step of the journey,” stated Ahmed Abdel-Karim Hussein, Mastercard’s Executive Vice President for Integrated Marketing and Communications in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The platform is set to grow, with Mastercard planning to introduce additional experiences and expand into more African markets throughout 2026.
