The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has announced a planned water supply interruption affecting Tororo Town, the Malaba Branch, and surrounding communities. This temporary cut is necessary to facilitate crucial maintenance activities at the High Lift Pump House in Tororo.
A dedicated team from the NWSC’s Static Plant Team will be carrying out the essential works. These upgrades are part of the corporation’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the efficiency and reliability of water delivery systems across the region.
According to George Ongwech, the NWSC Tororo Area Manager, the maintenance is vital for strengthening the overall water supply infrastructure. He assured the public that the technical teams are working diligently to complete the task swiftly and safely, minimizing the period of disruption.
Residents and businesses in the affected areas are strongly advised to use water prudently and to store an adequate supply for essential needs during the maintenance period. NWSC has expressed its apologies for any inconvenience this necessary work may cause and thanked customers for their patience and understanding.
Normal water pumping operations are expected to resume immediately after the completion of the maintenance, ensuring a consistent and improved water service for all consumers in Tororo and its environs.
