Salam TV and Al Mustafa Islamic College have announced a collaborative effort to advance Islamic education and Da’wah initiatives throughout Uganda. The institutions are poised to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future to solidify this alliance.

The agreement follows a productive visit by a Salam TV delegation, led by Managing Director Hajji Karim Kaliisa, to Al Mustafa Islamic College in Kyengera. This meeting has set the stage for cooperation in crucial areas such as training, curriculum enhancement, and community engagement.

Both organizations expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, anticipating it will broaden access to genuine Islamic knowledge and invigorate faith-based educational programs. A key component of the collaboration will be the development of joint training programs. These will be specifically designed for Muslim leaders and community educators, focusing on Islamic jurisprudence, family guidance, spiritual enrichment, and fostering interfaith dialogue.

Al Mustafa Islamic College is also set to support Salam TV by providing educational and community-oriented content for broadcast, leveraging the college’s academic expertise. Hajji Karim Kaliisa emphasized Salam TV’s commitment, stating, “At Salam TV, our core mission is to spread authentic Islamic knowledge and Da’wah across Uganda and beyond. We do not wait on the sidelines when it comes to matters of Islam and community development. We lead from the front.”

Officials from Al Mustafa Islamic College echoed these sentiments, recognizing Salam TV’s extensive reach as a vital platform to amplify their educational outreach and community engagement efforts. The college has affirmed its readiness to contribute relevant content and academic support aligned with Salam TV’s Da’wah objectives.

The Salam TV delegation had the opportunity to tour the college’s facilities, assessing the resources available to bolster the upcoming initiatives. The forthcoming MoU is expected to formally inaugurate a partnership dedicated to enhancing Islamic scholarship, leadership development, and grassroots education within Uganda.
