Mpigi Villagers Report Worsening 'Unseen Disturbances' Post-Intervention

Residents of Nyomero Village in Mpigi District are reporting a significant escalation of mysterious disturbances, which they claim have intensified even after a traditional healer was enlisted to resolve the issues.

The village has been plagued for months by unexplained occurrences, described by residents as causing property damage and disrupting daily life, instilling fear among households.

Following these prolonged disturbances, a traditional healer was brought to the village on Sunday. Through community fundraising, residents facilitated the healer’s visit, during which rituals were performed and objects believed to be linked to witchcraft were reportedly unearthed from various homes.

However, villagers claim the situation worsened immediately after the intervention, with disturbances returning with a greater intensity during the night. Some residents have also alleged physical attacks by unseen forces, though these claims have not been independently verified by authorities.

“We thought the problem had ended, but the disturbances returned with even greater intensity,” stated some residents. The effectiveness of the intervention is now being questioned by villagers, who observe the renewed and more potent nature of the disturbances.

In response, Mpigi District Chairperson Simon Peter Kawuki has called for a coordinated effort among traditional healers within the district. He urged practitioners to collaborate and engage in discussions to find a lasting solution for the community.

While authorities have not provided a formal explanation, local leaders are actively working to ascertain the facts and restore normalcy. Religious leaders have also voiced concerns, cautioning against an over-reliance on traditional practices and advocating for faith-based solutions.

Officials are urging for calm as investigations and consultations continue, aiming to address the unsettling events in Nyomero Village.
