Singer Moses Ssali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, has deleted social media posts that ignited a public dispute with former Miss Rwanda Jolly Mutesi. However, screenshots of the conversations he initially shared remain online, sparking widespread discussion.
These purported conversations, presented by Bebe Cool as evidence of being defrauded, detail an extraordinary range of potential opportunities. The messages allegedly mention East African oil deals, insight into football transfers from renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, and even the possibility of performing at the FIFA World Cup.
The dispute escalated to legal threats, with Mutesi denying any contact with Bebe Cool and asserting she is a victim of online impersonation. The singer removed his posts following alleged intervention from First Son Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Among the most striking claims within the screenshots are discussions about the Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia Transport Corridor (LAPSSET) project and lucrative oil sector opportunities. One message purportedly introduced Bebe Cool to contacts involved in the East African oil pipeline.
Further screenshots suggest potential career advancements for Bebe Cool’s son, Alpha Ssali, a footballer. These messages claim a connection to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who could reportedly assist with football transfers. The singer confirmed knowing Romano and expressed enthusiasm for the potential connection.
Beyond football deals, the alleged conversations also hint at a possible performance opportunity for Bebe Cool at the World Cup. The messages also included a request for financial assistance for a cousin in Uganda, which some observers identified as a common tactic in online scams.
Perhaps the most sensational element involves a supposed trip to Saudi Arabia, where Bebe Cool was allegedly told he could meet influential figures, including football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7), who was expected to be present for football promotions.
While Mutesi maintains her innocence and alleges continuous impersonation by fraudsters, the screenshots continue to be a subject of intense online debate, leaving many questioning the authenticity of the interactions.
