Preparations are underway for the construction of the new Kitoba Seed School, a significant educational development project in Kiseke, Kitoba Town Council, Hoima District. The Ministry of Education and Sports, in collaboration with the Hoima District Local Government, has officially handed over the construction site to Dolphins Consult Engineers and Contractors.

The contractor is expected to commence preparatory works shortly, with the official groundbreaking scheduled for June 24, 2026. The entire project has a 10-month completion timeline.

Once completed, the school will feature modern facilities designed to enhance the learning environment. Plans include four classroom blocks, two science laboratories, a multipurpose hall, an administration block, an ICT hall, a library, and three blocks of staff quarters. Additionally, sports facilities will be developed.

Local leaders have expressed their gratitude for the government’s commitment to expanding educational infrastructure. Hoima District Chairperson Uthuman Mugisha Kadiri highlighted that this project addresses the district’s long-standing requests and will significantly improve educational access and quality for local children.

District officials emphasized the importance of community involvement, with Chief Administrative Officer Hajjat Sarah Aziz Nakalungi urging parents to enroll their children once the school is operational. The district administration has pledged close collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sports to ensure the project’s timely and successful completion through diligent monitoring and supervision.

Assistant Resident District Commissioner Shafih Ntuuyo praised the government’s investment in education as a cornerstone of socio-economic transformation. He also issued a stern warning to the contractor, emphasizing adherence to contract terms and the delivery of high-quality work within the specified period.

The site handover ceremony was attended by local council leaders, district representatives, and community members who widely welcomed the initiative as a crucial step forward for educational development in the region.
