Erias Lukwago Detained at Kira Road Police Station, Faces Potential Treason Charges

Senior legal figure and former Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, has been moved to Kira Road Police Station. This development follows his reported apprehension by armed operatives from his home in Wakaliga on Monday.

Sources close to the situation suggest that Lukwago, who has been in military detention since his arrest, is slated to face serious charges including treason and misprision of treason. These charges echo those currently brought against opposition leader Kizza Besigye, whom Lukwago has been representing in court.
