Vipers SC have once again proven their mettle by clinching their eighth Uganda Premier League title, a victory that stands out due to the significant challenges overcome. The 2025/2026 campaign was far from a smooth sailing, beginning with a series of unconvincing performances that left the club trailing early contenders and sparking concern among their fanbase.

The team struggled with cohesion and dropped crucial points, leading many to doubt their title aspirations. This poor on-pitch form was further exacerbated by widespread frustration across the league regarding significant structural changes and scheduling disruptions. Clubs voiced concerns about fixture congestion, tactical imbalances, and administrative bottlenecks, creating an environment of uncertainty.

For a club like Vipers, known for its meticulous planning and high standards, this “structural chaos” presented an immense hurdle. However, instead of faltering, the Venoms, under the guidance of coach Ivan Jacky Minnaert, embarked on an impressive 16-match unbeaten run.
