Comedians Sammie and Shawa Survive Nasty Road Accident Near Hoima

The popular Ugandan comedy pair, Sammie and Shawa, have recounted a harrowing experience after being involved in a road traffic accident on their way to Hoima. The duo, along with three other individuals, were traveling in a vehicle when the unexpected occurred.

According to Shawa, who was behind the wheel, the incident happened under the cover of darkness. A cow suddenly dashed across the road, forcing him into a drastic evasive maneuver. While he managed to turn the vehicle sharply to avoid a head-on collision, the car still made contact with the animal on its side.

The impact, though significant enough to cause damage, did not result in fatalities or serious injuries. Shawa reported that a side mirror was broken and the car’s hood sustained some damage. Miraculously, all five occupants, including Sammie, Shawa, Cyrus, Masaka, and Jane M., emerged from the crash unharmed.

This close call has prompted Shawa to issue a stern warning to livestock owners in the Hoima region. He emphasized the grave danger posed by allowing cattle to roam freely on roadways, particularly at night, and urged owners to exercise greater responsibility in securing their animals to prevent future incidents.

Shawa expressed profound gratitude for their survival, acknowledging the fragility of life and the suddenness with which such dangerous situations can arise. The incident served as a stark reminder of the risks drivers face due to unpredictable road hazards.
