Musician Douglas Mayanja, best known as Weasel, has shed light on the ongoing discussions about unreleased music left behind by his former musical partner, the late Mowzey Radio.

Speaking about their creative process, Weasel revealed that the dynamic duo didn’t adhere to a single recording studio. Radio often worked from various locations, sometimes recording his parts independently and then inviting Weasel to contribute his verses.

“We didn’t have one particular studio. Sometimes Radio would call me and direct me to certain studios, telling me he had already recorded something and that I should pass by later and add my part,” Weasel shared.

This revelation has inevitably sparked renewed hope and curiosity among fans, eager for any new material from the beloved artist who tragically passed away in 2018. Mowzey Radio is widely regarded as one of Uganda’s most influential musicians, and his music continues to resonate deeply within the industry.

While Weasel did not provide an estimate on the quantity of unreleased songs, his comments confirm that recordings could potentially be dispersed across multiple studios where Radio worked throughout his career. This suggests that a significant archive of unheard music might exist, though its accessibility remains uncertain, fueling further speculation and anticipation.
