School director's abducted wife found safe

Ms Mollette Komugisha, the wife of a school director in Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District, has been found after her abduction on Thursday evening. She was discovered near her home on Saturday night, having been dropped off by unknown individuals on motorcycles.
Her husband, Mr Bosses Taremwa, confirmed her safe return but declined to comment on her health status, stating that further information would be released later. Ms Komugisha has been taken to a medical facility for assessment as investigations into the incident continue.
Police spokesperson Ms Hellen Butoto confirmed Ms Komugisha’s recovery, noting that she was brought near her residence by a boda-boda rider. Authorities are working to piece together the details surrounding her release and the circumstances of her abduction.
Ms Komugisha was reportedly taken at gunpoint by four armed assailants riding motorcycles from her family home in Bujowali on Thursday night. Notably, no ransom demands were made by the kidnappers during her captivity.
The police are continuing their investigation to ascertain the full sequence of events, identify the perpetrators, and understand their motives. The family is focused on Ms Komugisha’s well-being following the traumatic ordeal.
