US Ambassador Popp Departs Uganda After Launching 'Freedom 250'

United States Ambassador to Uganda, Natalie E. Brown, is bidding farewell to the country as her tenure comes to an end. Her departure coincides with the launch of a new initiative named ‘Freedom 250’.

Ambassador Brown reflected on her time in Uganda, characterizing the nation as a “beautiful country.” She acknowledged that saying goodbye to the Ugandan people would be a difficult and emotional moment for her.

Prior to her departure, Ambassador Brown had served diligently, fostering diplomatic ties and engaging with various sectors within Uganda. The ‘Freedom 250’ initiative is expected to build upon the work done during her ambassadorship.

She is set to move on to a new regional role, continuing her service in foreign affairs. Her presence and contributions will be missed by many in Uganda.
