Manchester City’s quest for another Premier League title hit a major roadblock as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth on Tuesday evening. This outcome effectively handed the league trophy to Arsenal, marking their first title in over two decades.

City, needing a win to keep their slim hopes alive heading into the final weekend of the season, fell behind to a spectacular strike from Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi in the 39th minute. The goal, assisted by Adrien Truffert, saw the young Frenchman curl a brilliant shot past the helpless goalkeeper.

The draw leaves Pep Guardiola’s side trailing Arsenal by four points, extinguishing their hopes of securing a seventh league title under the manager, who is widely expected to depart at the end of the season.

Despite the disappointment, Bournemouth cemented their impressive season. Their draw against City extended their unbeaten league run to 17 games and secured them a sixth-place finish, earning them a historic qualification for European competition for the first time.

Manchester City managed a last-gasp equalizer deep into injury time courtesy of Erling Haaland, who tapped in a rebound after Rodri’s shot struck the post. However, the final whistle blew almost immediately after, sealing City’s fate and confirming Arsenal as champions.
