Over one hundred Ugandan businesses have been selected to benefit from a new program aimed at strengthening their capacity to compete in international markets. The initiative, under the Export Firm Support component, will provide eligible companies with up to Shs150 million (approximately $40,000) in financial assistance.

This funding is intended to help these firms enhance their product quality, meet international standards, and ultimately increase their export volumes and reach. The program is expected to play a crucial role in diversifying Uganda’s export base and boosting the country’s foreign exchange earnings.

Beyond financial aid, the selected companies will also receive tailored technical support and training to address specific challenges in their export journeys. This comprehensive approach seeks to ensure sustainable growth and competitiveness for Ugandan products on the global stage.
