Manchester United concluded their final home game of a successful season with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Captain Bruno Fernandes reached a significant milestone, matching the league’s assist record for a single season with his 20th, a feat previously achieved by legends Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. This accomplishment came as United secured the win, solidifying their third-place position with one game left in the campaign.

The goals for United came from Luke Shaw, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo. Shaw opened the scoring early, while Cunha restored the lead shortly after Nottingham Forest had equalized through Morato. Mbeumo, after missing earlier chances, sealed the goals for United with a composed finish assisted by Fernandes, though Forest managed to pull one back late in the game through Morgan Gibbs-White.

The match also marked a farewell for midfielder Casemiro, who received a standing ovation from the Old Trafford faithful upon his substitution in the latter stages of the game.

Despite little at stake for either team, fans were treated to an entertaining, end-to-end contest.
