Inter Milan has achieved a significant milestone, winning both the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia in the same season for the first time since José Mourinho’s iconic treble-winning campaign in 2010. This domestic double was sealed with a 2-0 victory over Lazio in the Coppa Italia final.

The match saw Inter take an early lead in the 14th minute. A corner from Federico Dimarco was inadvertently directed into his own net by Lazio defender Adam Marusic.

Inter extended their advantage before halftime. Nuno Tavares’ mistake deep in Lazio’s half allowed Marcus Thuram to set up Lautaro Martinez for an easy tap-in, doubling the score.

“We showed good results, performances, intensity, so I am proud that we are finishing with another trophy that means so much,” striker Lautaro Martinez told Sport Mediaset. “There is always so much talk about Inter, but you have to look at what we’ve achieved over so many years.”

Despite some attempts from Lazio, including a chance for Tijjani Noslin, Inter maintained control throughout the second half, comfortably seeing out the match to secure their tenth Coppa Italia title.

Inter manager Cristian Chivu expressed his pride, stating, “We won the League and the Coppa Italia, it is never to be taken for granted, so we’re very happy.”
