KCCA Women’s Volleyball Club has emerged victorious in the National Volleyball League, defeating Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) 3-0 in the decisive Game Three of the finals at the Old Kampala Arena.

This triumph secures a significant domestic double for KCCA, who had previously claimed the National Club Championship title in October last year. The Kasasiro Girls showcased their experience and resilience throughout the series, ultimately overcoming VVC to lift the league trophy.

Despite facing challenges, including an injury to Agnes Akanyo, KCCA’s seasoned players like Margaret Namyalo, Eunice Amuron, and Belindah Jepkirui stepped up. Head coach Edward Bwenje praised his team’s ability to manage the pressure and adapt, particularly after VVC put up a strong fight in Game Two.

The match saw KCCA take an early lead with a dominant first set (25-13). Although VVC rallied and made the second set a closer contest (25-22), KCCA maintained their composure. They sealed the championship with a strong performance in the third set, winning 25-19.

Young setter Oliver Acan also drew praise for her performance, earning a call-up to the national team as KCCA capped off a successful season with national league glory. The team’s previous achievements include a 12th-place finish at the African Championship in April.
