Arsenal edged past a resilient West Ham United with a dramatic 1-0 victory, thanks to a late goal from Leandro Trossard. The crucial win at the London Stadium on Sunday re-established Arsenal’s five-point lead at the summit of the Premier League.

Trossard found the back of the net in the 83rd minute, converting a pass from Martin Odegaard. This breakthrough came after Arsenal had weathered some tense moments at the London Stadium.

The Gunners were fortunate to escape a late scare when West Ham thought they had equalised deep into stoppage time, but the goal was disallowed after a lengthy VAR review for a foul.

This win brings Arsenal one step closer to clinching their first Premier League title since 2004. They will secure the championship if they win their remaining two matches against Burnley and Crystal Palace.

Arsenal now sits on 79 points from 36 games, with Manchester City trailing by five points with a game in hand. For West Ham, the defeat leaves them facing a potential relegation battle, possibly four points adrift of safety with two games left.
