Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will make his comeback against U.S.-based Albanian fighter Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 35-year-old Prenga, a former kickboxer, boasts a professional record of 20 wins and one loss since 2016.
This bout, dubbed ‘The Comeback,’ follows Joshua’s time away after a December car accident that claimed the lives of two friends. His last fight was a sixth-round knockout of Jake Paul in Miami on December 19.
Promoter Eddie Hearn announced that Joshua and Tyson Fury have signed for a highly anticipated clash later in 2026, potentially in November. Hearn described the July fight as a tune-up, similar to Fury’s recent win over Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Saudi Arabia’s Turki Alalshikh confirmed the Joshua-Fury deal, posting on X that it’s ‘signed’ for Q4 2026 on Netflix. Joshua expressed excitement about his multi-fight deal, vowing to ‘collect his rent’ in the ring.
The announcement has thrilled fans awaiting the ‘Battle of Britain’ between the two British heavyweights.
