Manchester City secured their place in the FA Cup final with a thrilling 2-1 win against Southampton at Wembley, marking their fourth consecutive appearance in the showpiece event.

Southampton, fresh off a quarter-final upset against Arsenal, took a shock lead in the 79th minute through Finn Azaz’s stunning long-range strike. However, City fought back late in the game with goals from Jérémy Doku and Nico González to clinch the victory.

This result leaves Guardiola’s side six matches from a potential domestic treble—five Premier League games and the FA Cup final on May 16 against either Chelsea or Leeds United—after already winning the Carabao Cup in March.

Despite the success, Guardiola remains cautious, insisting his team is ‘far away’ from such an achievement. ‘Too much, far away,’ he said, prioritizing rest after a demanding week.

The City boss praised his team’s decade-long consistency, highlighting five Carabao Cup triumphs and four straight FA Cup finals as true measures of the club’s stature.
