Arsenal face a high-stakes Premier League match against Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium this weekend. Mikel Arteta’s team has no room for error, with Manchester City edging ahead atop the standings following a 1-0 victory at Burnley on Wednesday.

Both sides sit on 70 points and identical goal differences of 37, but City holds a slim three-goal advantage in total goals scored. Arsenal’s recent 2-1 loss to City has erased their lead, turning this into a must-win clash to regain momentum.

Arteta remains confident, stating his squad is ‘more convinced’ than ever about winning the title. ‘It’s a new league now. Everything is still to play for,’ he declared.

While City rests from league action due to an FA Cup semi-final against Southampton, they will monitor Arsenal closely.

At the bottom, Tottenham Hotspur, in the relegation zone for the first time in 49 years at 18th with 31 points, travel to already-relegated Wolves in a vital game. Manager Roberto De Zerbi believes five straight wins can save them.

West Ham host Everton in another relegation six-pointer. In the top-four race, Liverpool aim to solidify Champions League hopes against Crystal Palace, while Manchester United near qualification when they face Brentford on Monday, boosted by Chelsea’s slump and manager Liam Rosenior’s sacking.

Aston Villa also chase a top-four spot at Fulham.
