Tragic Death of Senior One Student in Sheema School Well Accident

A Senior One student named Dyan Ampurire lost his life after plunging into a water well at Nganwa High School in Sheema district.
The accident occurred on Thursday evening as the student was drawing water for his personal needs, preliminary accounts indicate.
The school administration issued a statement on Friday mourning the loss, especially since it happened early in his secondary school journey. They rushed him to Kabwohe Health Centre IV, but medical staff pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Condolences were offered to the family, peers, and friends, with a request for privacy during their grief.
Sheema District Police Commander Consolanta Kasule verified the event, noting that investigations are ongoing and details are limited for now.
Burial plans were in progress between the school and family by press time.
Parents have voiced worries over the safety of water facilities in boarding schools following this incident.
