A tragic incident has shaken Nabingola Town Council in Mubende District, where Ronald Tumusiime, 28, and his wife Justine Kamukama, 25, were found lifeless in their locked home on April 20.

Neighbors heard their two-year-old child crying nonstop from inside the house around 5pm, prompting Elvis Senabulya to investigate. Peering through a window, he saw the couple motionless on the floor and alerted authorities.

Police from Nabingola Station, backed by the Mubende homicide team, broke into the residence. The scene showed chaos: broken items scattered about and deep cuts on both bodies indicating a fierce struggle.

Initial reports suggested a domestic quarrel on April 19, but Lwensama Village chairperson Julius Kaggwa refuted this, noting homes are spaced far apart and no one heard anything.

Postmortem results at Mubende Regional Referral Hospital revealed Kamukama had a fatal neck wound, while Tumusiime suffered a severe hammer blow to the head. Kaggwa questioned self-inflicted injuries, pointing to destroyed phones, keys tossed outside, and a staged appearance suggesting external attackers.

Tumusiime was last seen Sunday evening watching a Manchester City vs Arsenal match. Neighbors described the pair as loving with no known conflicts.

Wamala Region police spokesperson SSP Lameck Kigozi condemned domestic violence and called for early intervention. Investigations continue with witness statements recorded.
