Police in Mubende district are probing a mysterious double death after a couple was discovered lifeless in their residence in Nabingola town council on Monday evening.

The victims are Ronald Tumusiime, 37, a teacher, and his 40-year-old wife Justine Kamukama, a businesswoman. Their two-year-old child was found crying inside the locked house.

Wamala regional police spokesperson Lameck Kigozi stated that a neighbor, Elvis Senabulya, heard the child’s cries around 5:00 p.m. and peered through a bedroom window, spotting the bodies in a pool of blood.

Senabulya informed local leaders, who contacted Nabingola police. Responders, including the Mubende homicide team, broke into the internally locked house.

Initial investigations reveal evidence of a fierce fight, with broken items strewn about and deep cuts on both bodies.

Kigozi denounced domestic violence, urging those in abusive relationships to report to authorities for support.

The remains have been conveyed to Mubende hospital for autopsy as the probe proceeds.
