Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja officially launched the three-day National Performance Review Conference 2026 at Speke Resort Munyonyo on April 15, 2026. The event, themed ‘Coordinated Actions for Accelerated National Socio-Economic Transformation Amidst Global Partnership Reforms,’ draws government officials, ministers, RDCs, district leaders, civil society, and development partners.
Nabbanja stressed the need for results-oriented leadership, accountability, and coordination to ensure policies and budgets translate into on-ground impact. She highlighted the conference as a key forum for assessing progress on Uganda’s development plans, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the National Annual Performance Report for local services.
The Prime Minister noted advancements since 2023 in coordination, results frameworks, and data systems. However, she pointed out persistent issues like resource constraints and implementation hurdles at central and local levels.
Day one covers regional and global contexts, including the Kampala Declaration. Day two evaluates central and local government performance, while day three focuses on actionable commitments.
State Minister Justin Kasule Lumumba echoed these sentiments, emphasizing sharper accountability, strategic partnerships amid UN reforms and financing pressures, and better performance management for value for money.
