Archbishop Kazimba's Father Mzee Kaddu to Be Buried Friday
Mzee Besweri Kaddu, father of Church of Uganda Archbishop Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu, passed away at 93 on Monday after admission to Mengo Hospital. His funeral service is set for Thursday at All Saints Cathedral, with burial following on Friday. The Anglican Church has announced that Mzee Besweri Kaddu, father of Archbishop Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu, will be laid to rest on Friday, April 17.
Born on August 1, 1933, the 93-year-old Mzee Kaddu died on Monday afternoon at Mengo Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment since the weekend.
Funeral arrangements include a service at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, on Thursday at 10 am, followed by a vigil at his home in Gulama, Najja, Buikwe District, starting at 6 pm.
The burial ceremony is scheduled for Friday at midday. Mzee Kaddu worked as a farmer before serving as a lay leader in the church.
