A tragic incident unfolded in Soroti when 20-year-old Mark Okiring fell from the third floor of the main market at around 7:40pm on April 9, 2026.
East Kyoga Regional Police Commander, Ibrahim Saiga, confirmed the details, describing it as a suspected suicide.
Okiring was quickly taken to Soroti Regional Referral Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the precise circumstances of the fall and are calling on anyone with information to assist.
