Police Juniors delivered a commanding performance, overturning an early deficit to demolish Entebbe UPPC 6-1 in their FUFA Juniors League match at Cavendish University, Mukono Campus on Easter Sunday.
UPPC grabbed a shock lead inside two minutes through Eno Mathias Mercy’s speedy run. Police equalized before halftime via left-back Sudiki Buluma, entering the break at 1-1.
The second half belonged to Police. Tensions peaked when UPPC coach Juma Nzija briefly walked his team off in protest over a penalty, but the game resumed with Police in control.
Ronald Ssemwanga starred with a hat-trick, exploiting UPPC’s shaky defense. Derrick Kiyingi added a free-kick goal, and substitute Emmanuel Lubega finished the scoring.
UPPC’s woes deepen, conceding 13 goals in two Treble Group games after a 7-0 loss to Vipers last week. Police coach Shafiq Mudholo praised his squad’s ambition to top the table.
In other results, UPDF drew 1-1 with Kitara, NEC crushed Buhimba Saints 5-0, and Calvary beat Maroons 2-1.
The league awards four points for wins by two or more goals, boosting attacking play.
