The popular Ugandan music trio B2C Entertainment has fiercely responded to backlash over government funds allocated to artists.

Critics argue that such money should prioritize healthcare and infrastructure, but B2C questions why musicians are targeted when others benefit freely.

‘If others are benefiting, why shouldn’t artists also benefit?’ the group retorted, highlighting that corruption plagues many sectors without similar outrage.

They insisted artists shouldn’t ‘sleep hungry’ or sacrifice livelihoods to seem morally superior.

B2C downplayed the amounts as mere ‘pennies’ next to massive budgets like State House expenditures.

The group called for focus on real financial scandals instead of pressuring creatives.
