Christopher Okello Onyum faces four murder charges in the High Court after being committed by Makindye Chief Magistrate Sarah Basemera.

The suspect allegedly killed Gideon Eteku, Keisha Agenorwoth Otim, Ignitius Sseruyange, and Ryan Odeke at the Ggaba Community Church-run daycare, which aids vulnerable infants.

Prosecutors claim Onyum planned the attack by purchasing knives beforehand, renting a vehicle, and scouting the premises while pretending to be a parent.

On the day of the incident, he paid Shs180,000 via mobile money for supposed admission fees before stabbing playing children and threatening a caretaker.

Staff and bystanders subdued him until police arrived. Evidence includes a bloodstained knife, two others in his possession, CCTV footage, DNA, phones, and transaction records.

Postmortems confirmed the toddlers died from shock due to severe injuries. Despite no mental illness diagnosis, Onyum reportedly believed in wealth through human sacrifice.

The case now awaits High Court hearing.
