Rising Ugandan singer Dax Vibez has publicly called out Eddy Kenzo and Joshua Baraka for not doing enough to help fellow artists break into the international scene.
In a recent interview, Dax Vibez highlighted how Uganda differs from Nigeria, where successful musicians pave the way for those following them. He expressed a desire for Ugandan stars to build a similar supportive industry.
Dax Vibez specifically accused top artists of gaining global connections and then keeping them exclusive, preventing others from benefiting. ‘They get their breakthrough, but then hide the links and connections from others,’ he stated.
His comments underscore ongoing tensions in Uganda’s music industry regarding collaboration and growth.
