Police have revealed the names of four toddlers fatally stabbed at the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program in Makindye Division, Kampala, on Thursday.
The victims include two-year-old Eteku Gideon, Kaise Alungat, Ignatius Sserwange, and three-year-old Ryan Odeke. Authorities state that 39-year-old Christopher Okello Onyum entered the facility armed with a knife, though the motive remains unclear.
Inspector General of Police Abas Byakagaba led the security response at the scene, urging the public to stay calm. Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke confirmed the suspect’s arrest and detention.
‘The Uganda Police Force offers its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and commits to a full investigation for justice,’ Rusoke stated, promising further updates.
