The upcoming Absa KH3-7 Hills Run 2026 blends athletic challenges with a vital social mission: advancing girls’ education in Uganda. Scheduled for Sunday, April 26, the event will draw runners to Kampala’s demanding terrain.
Absa Bank Uganda MD David Wandera highlighted three routes—5km, 10km, and a grueling 25km elite course—snaking through Naguru, Ntinda, Kololo, Nakasero, Mengo, Kibuli, and Jinja Road. These paths test endurance while immersing participants in the city’s vibrant energy.
Top performers stand to win invitations to the Absa Black Stars Marathon in Ghana, plus land titles for the leading male and female finishers. All races kick off and conclude at Millennium Grounds in Lugogo, with 6-7 water stations ensuring safety and hydration.
Proceeds will aid key initiatives like Baylor College of Medicine’s DREAMS Programme, Amref Health Africa, Windle International Uganda, World Vision Uganda, Nyaka AIDS Orphan Project, Katalemwa Cheshire Home, and Smart Girls Uganda. Funds support tuition, mentorship, and barriers to girls’ schooling.
Registration fees range from Shs35,000 for the ordinary kit to Shs150,000 for VIP, making it accessible for various participants to join the cause.
