In a remarkable display of community unity, Pachara Sub-county residents in Adjumani District have offered 45 acres of virgin land in Robidire Village, Alere Parish, for a State Lodge and presidential demonstration farm. Local leaders, clan heads, and officials gathered under the scorching sun to inspect the site and affirm the donation, confirming it is free from disputes with all documents prepared.

State House agronomist Francis Edim expressed deep gratitude, noting the rarity of such land gifts in a growing population reliant on farming. He highlighted the farm’s potential as a learning hub for modern practices, improved livestock breeds like high-milk-yield cows, and techniques to shift farmers from subsistence to profitable commercial agriculture.

Dr. Ochen Morris from State House praised Adjumani’s progress, envisioning it as a national model. Resident District Commissioner Swaib Toko commended the foresight amid common land conflicts, urging preservation of the site’s symbolic unity. Landowner representative Sisto Amoko confirmed broad consultations since a 2019 agreement with district officials.

LC3 Chairperson Kennedy Kanzo and Woman MP Jessica Ababiku hailed the move as a milestone for the Ma’di sub-region, linking it to initiatives like the Presidential Skilling Hub in Olia Village. Technical experts, including Principal Legal Officer Emmanuel Iluker and Senior Agriculture Officer Roseline Acen, verified the land, with documents set for President Museveni’s approval. Follow-up actions will ensure transparency and construction.

This donation signals Adjumani’s commitment to growth, knowledge sharing, and prosperity.
