Ugandan singer Rickman Manrick has opened up about the pivotal role rapper Fefe Bussi played in kickstarting his musical path.
In a recent TV interview, Rickman recalled how his interest in songwriting emerged back in 2008 while he was still a student. Fellow artist Gravity Omutujju, his schoolmate, connected him with Fefe Bussi, whose impressive rap skills left a lasting impression.
“Gravity often talked about Fefe, his friend, and when we met in 2008, I got inspired to write music,” Rickman shared. Though he wasn’t performing yet, he began documenting his lyrics, a habit that evolved into his professional journey.
Rickman expressed deep appreciation for both Fefe Bussi and Gravity Omutujju, having observed their early career strides and drawn motivation from their success in the industry.
