Entebbe International Airport recorded a significant uptick in international passenger traffic during February 2026, handling 189,575 travelers in total.
Breakdown shows 90,007 arrivals and 99,568 departures, averaging roughly 6,770 passengers daily. This represents a jump of 39,387 from January 2026’s 150,188 passengers and exceeds February 2025’s 159,503 by 30,072.
Cargo operations mirrored this growth, with 4,498 metric tonnes processed. Exports made up 2,955 metric tonnes, imports 1,543 metric tonnes—higher than January’s 3,982 tonnes and February 2025’s combined 4,546 tonnes.
The consistent increases signal robust expansion in Uganda’s air transport sector. Yet, March may see a slowdown due to Middle East airspace closures starting late February, impacting Entebbe routes with a slow reopening process.
