Gloria Grace Laker, an intern at Gulu High Court and a student at the Law Development Centre, has been released on Shs 500,000 bail by Gulu Magistrate’s Court.

She faces accusations of unlawfully sharing court register information that exposed pre-filed malicious statement charges against National Unity Platform leader Robert Kyagulanyi, known as Bobi Wine. Laker was arrested on March 10.

Magistrate Ashraf Muyumba approved the bail based on the sureties provided.

Her lawyer, Henry Kilama Komakech, stated they will seek concrete evidence from the prosecution to substantiate the claims. ‘We have asked the court to present the evidence, and we have not seen any yet,’ he noted.

Laker’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 15, 2026.
