Ugandan singer Spice Diana recently discussed the predatory challenges she navigated in the music industry over nearly 15 years.
In a local TV interview, she described encounters with individuals posing as managers and promoters, who targeted her during her early struggles with promises of career boosts in exchange for sex.
Rather than complying, Diana cleverly shifted dynamics by building strictly friendly bonds, neutralizing their advances without fallout.
“I put them in a corner, made them my friends and wouldn’t go through with their efforts,” she stated.
She warns young female artists to stay vigilant against such tactics from those exploiting desperation for breakthroughs.
