R&B singer Liam Voice has voiced strong disapproval of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), asserting it holds no significant value in Uganda’s music landscape.

Launched under Eddy Kenzo’s leadership, the federation aims to champion musicians’ welfare and advocate for key reforms, including amendments to the copyright law.

In a recent TV interview, Liam Voice expressed his dissatisfaction, stating the organization fails to genuinely tackle artists’ concerns. ‘That federation has no place in the music industry. It is not concerned about the musicians’ needs. It’s just another gathering of different musicians,’ he remarked.

He highlighted the federation’s apparent lack of dedication to the copyright amendment, which artists see as crucial for better earnings and protection. Additionally, Liam suggested some in the industry view the group’s efforts as focused more on securing government funds than resolving genuine challenges.
