Ugandan artist Dax Vibez recently dismissed hopes for the copyright law bill’s amendment, which has lingered in Parliament for over two years.
In a TV interview, he laughed at the idea of it passing soon, quipping, ‘Jesus might return before musicians see it in action.’
Dax Vibez went further, warning that benefits would likely go to a select few tied to influential figures, mentioning trips to Rwakitura or Gulu for affiliations.
This comes shortly after Eddy Kenzo, a musician and presidential advisor, reiterated promises of the law’s passage this year.
