Uganda Christian University (UCU) is reeling from the brutal killing of its Dean of Students, Tumwebaze Pamela, whose death last week ignited national outrage.
In a significant development, police apprehended prime suspect Taewaiko Dak Hussein on February 14, 2026, at a hideout in Budaka District. He was found with items belonging to the deceased, providing key evidence tying him to the crime.
The Joint Security Task Team confirmed Hussein previously worked as a house help for Pamela. Investigations remain active, with expectations of more arrests.
Pamela, who leaves behind two sons, was buried on Sunday in Mbarara District amid tributes from family, friends, and the UCU community demanding swift justice.
