Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting - CHOGM

The Commonwealth heads of government meeting (CHOGM) is a summit meeting held every two years from a member state chaired by that Nations Prime Minister or President.Most meetings are attended by the Queen Elizabeth II who is the titular head of the common wealth.

The next CHOGM summit will be held in Trinidad & Tobago in 2009.

Queen Opens CHOGM in Uganda The Queen has been in Uganda for a three day state visit which ended on Friday.She was here for the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting that she officially opened at Serena Hotel  Kampala on the 23.Nov.2007. Her Husband the Duke of Edinburgh was able to travel to Kasese to see the National Park that was named after her wife Queen Elizabeth ll.

Comments: Concur with colonel Besigye THE FDC PRESIDENT in Uganda that Chogm to survive in the new century it has to practically address the problems of the local people in its member states. such as mass poverty, disease and illiteracy. Meanwhile it should be at this time that also punitive action should be taken against whoever laid his ugly hands on the CHOGM funds in the form of presenting shoddy works and outright embezzlement.Mr.President please, this is the time to put in practice the recommendations of the heads of governments meeting.
