Veronica Luggya aka Vinka putting pen on paper on the Sony Music Entertainment contract
"I am glad to announce that I have joined the Sony Music Africa Family, thanks to my family Swangz Avenue for believing in me since day one and everyone else that has believed in me and loved Vinka to this new journey, " Vinka tweeted.
The good news of Vinka getting to this milestone two years into her music career has left many of her fans very excited, congratulatory messages have been coming in from all corners.
"Congratulations Vinka upon your exclusive recording contract with Sony. We are so proud of you and what we have achieved so far in two years," a source noted on the Swangz Avenue page.
Keko, who had a similar deal has also congratulated the Chips and Ketchup singer on the Sony deal.
"Congratulations to Vinka, all the best on your new journey, Blessings, Uganda to the World."
Keko has been so quiet on the music radar leading many to conclude that the Sony deal could have caused all that, but a section of fans refuted that school of thought saying that artistes are different.
Vinka told her fans that she will be releasing a song every first day of the month and the time is just ripe for her next release with Sure, her last release doing very well on the airwaves.
"Oli Ku Sure," a line off her 'Sure' song is what most of her fans have used to congratulate her on the Sony recording contract.
Desire Luzinda had a special message for Vinka.
"Woke up to this great news and while I kept imagining what kind of joy Vinka feels, I also couldn't fail to notice how most of us focus on competition. It makes us fail to realize that we all have different destinies."
"To you Vinka; you came with a bang. You received lots of praise and lots of humiliations. You leaned onto persistence and proved that you are doing 'you' and doing it to your best. And boom! Just when they least expected it, you have given everyone a shocker, Go soar princess, Go to the heights.
Vinka has been with Swangz Avenue, but before joining the music bandwagon, she was managing Irene Ntale who was equally signed to the label before calling it quits.
Vinka has since assumed that role and, no doubt, she is a force to reckon in the music industry and at this rate, nothing seems to stop her.
