Cross border collaborations with Ugandan artists are expected and there is no better time than now for Ugandan music to be felt out there. The Uganda Independence monument has been the talk of the town for months now with an "M" built around it something that left many puzzled, but not anymore, the M is for the MAMAs now that they will be hosted in the Pearl of Africa. The Independence monument is now part of the MTV MAMAs logo. During the presser, Sheebah (MTV EMA Awards 2020 nominee) said that it has been her dream to have her music on a global scene and the MAMAs are the best platform to deliver just that. Bonang Dorothy was the host for the official launch of the MTV Africa Music Awards Kampala 2021 Sheebah also recalled her experience at the 2016 MAMAs when she presented the award to Yemi Alade, that experience still lingers on and this time around, she can't wait to rub shoulders with the likes of Master KG, Burna Boy and Rema from Nigeria, but she warns, it all comes with hard work.
