Sponsored Links Bobi Wine was arrested before he could address his supporters in Luuka district for not following the guidelines from the Electoral Commission and Ministry of Health. The Kyadondo East legislator has lost two days off his campaign trail as he was incarcerated at Nalufenya police in Jinja. His arrest led to protests in several parts of the city and other parts of the country, some lost their lives in the process. |
Outside the court in Iganga, Bobi Wine spoke to journalists thanking all those who were behind securing his temporary freedom, commiserated with the over 28 (according to police) that lost their lives, he stood with the arrested and those still nursing serious injuries. In court, his wife Barbie Kyagulanyi who was clad in red was there alongside other NUP officials like the spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi and the secretary general Lewis Rubongoya among others. Medard Sseggona was the lead counsel representing the NUP presidential flag bearer. Bobi Wine is expected back in court on December 18, 2020. He was advised to ensure that all the people attending his rallies must have masks and they should not be more than 200. |
